Unbox the Gloss: April 2015

Last month saw the Iconic Hollywood Edition box.

There was a beautiful collection of colours that could have arrived including, mint green, sky blue and lemon yellow.

I, as you can see, received the blush pink which looks really fabulous and happens to go with a lot of interior accessories I already own - bonus.

And of course the lovely Marilyn Monroe adorns the lid...

Last year, the iconic scrunchie started seeping into our favourite high street stores around the world and many of us (me included) didn't really think the fad would last. Fast forward to 2015 and the scrunchie has proven it is here to stay a little while longer.

Holiday Must Haves [Part 1]

Or should I say my holiday must haves. The time is near when the sun starts peeping out from behind the clouds and the countdown to our summer getaway really begins.

I'm jetting off to Rome this year with my boyfriend Darren and best friend Brad. But amidst all the excitement (Me & Brad have been planning all the must have places we NEED to visit) I thought I would put together a list of all the things I NEED to take on holiday this year.

Unbox the Gloss: March 2015

I felt like I was waiting FOREVER for the postman to arrive on the morning I received the March box. Glossybox happily inform you the day before that said box is on its way, leaving me in a similar state of excitement that I was in for February's Valentines Special.

It wasn't a collectors box this time round so I got a chance to take a look at the original Glossybox design.

Working with a Startup.

Who'd have thought this time last year that I would now be working in Manchester for a Startup company? Not only that, but be their first employee. There's three of them, 'the guys' I like to call them. All co-founders of DueCourse (an invoicing tool - just incase you was wondering). Last year I was working at a Fruit & Veg shop... I had been for 2 years towards the end of uni. I loved it (purely for the gossip) but I knew it wasn't leading me into my dream career nor was it paying me well.

Welcome to Glossybox: February 2015

I've been wanting to sign up to something like this for sooo long. Mainly because I love gifts that come in beautifully designed boxes (hey, tiffany!) and with not one but a bunch of miniature surprises just for me, how could I not? However, there is so much choice out there offering similar kinds of products that I wasn't confident enough before about which one to choose.

Glossybox has caught my eye on several occasions & I knew after a little research it was the box for me. Excitingly, my first box was a Valentine's special. When this box arrived I was super excited (think little kid at Christmas after Santa has been). I love boxes at the best of times (my house is full of them - "memory boxes" I like to call them, "full of junk" boxes do others).

10 lessons I learned working as an Intern

In September 2014, I started a 3 month internship with a startup company called DueCourse. The role required me to set up an active presence across Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms. I was to set up their blog and write articles relating to business. I also became editor to their freelance writers. An exciting time for me, especially as this was just the beginning.

This time last year me & my boyfriend moved in together. Yesterday, we went to view a house. A house that we could potentially buy. Our own house. One that we could really call home. It was super exciting. Not least of all because I absolutely loved it. Like, seriously.

Happy Valentines!

It's the most romantic time of year again when all the couples get to gloat and all the singletons are free to moan. Whether single or in a relationship, I have always loved Valentines Day. It's the one dramatic day of the year where going over the top to show someone you care is encouraged. Whether my best friend or boyfriend, I always like to show someone how much they mean to me. I also admit to getting over excited when receiving a fancy card or little gift myself (I hope this is what I asked for!?).

hello, finally.

I have been meaning to write a blog for years, but I have always been afraid I didn't have the time to commit to writing one so I never did. I studied Journalism & English Literature at uni so I figured I had a good start over most wannabe writers. I was wrong. Unlike me, they dedicated their precious time to creating a blog and worked hard at it, which meant they already had this amazing online portfolio. Well now I have decided the time is right to finally start one. Hooray! I am going to do something today that my future self will thank me for. Better late than never, right?
